INTO THE WOODS: KEY ART PHOTOSHOOT
Photographer: Matt Stasi
For the second iteration of the Into the Woods key art, the creative direction shifted away from constructed environments and focused entirely on live talent and photography.
The concept centered on the characters themselves, using expressive portraiture, wardrobe, lighting and bold background colors to create a distinct visual identity for each role. The featured characters included Little Red Riding Hood, Jack, the Baker, Rapunzel and Cinderella.
Rather than placing the actors within literal interpretations of the woods, the campaign used color as the primary environmental element. Each background was designed to complement the character, costume and emotional tone of the performance while keeping the overall campaign visually cohesive.
This approach created a cleaner, more graphic system that allowed the personalities of the actors to lead the imagery. It also provided a flexible set of assets that could be adapted across print, digital, social and environmental applications.
The final campaign was created entirely through live photography and traditional design techniques, with no AI-generated imagery used.
